OK people, I am very bored today. As some of you may have spotted from previous threads, I get very frustrated with drivers who don't know the rules of the road. So I thought I'd start a fun quiz.

This first is one of my pet hates, the road in the video is National Speed Limit, so part one of the question, what is the maximum speed a car can drive on this stretch of road?
Second part, who has priority over the middle lane?

It's only fun, I am curious as to how many people know the answer :xgrin:

Are you joking or serious, I'd say 60 but there is no middle lane as I see it , there's one on your side and two on the other

60 and traffic on the left has priority. Oncoming traffic is not allowed to cross solid white line.

60 and neither section 135

Where a single carriageway has three lanes and the road markings or signs do not give priority to traffic in either direction
use the middle lane only for overtaking or turning right. Remember, you have no more right to use the middle lane than a driver coming from the opposite direction do not use the right-hand lane.

60 mph there is no priority so whoever is there first. Hate these three lane things. Should be marked so you know!

The limit is 60mph. The centre lane can only be used by on-coming traffic whilst overtaking or if an oncoming car intends to turn to his right at a junction.

the oncoming traffic has the right to use two lanes.. inside lane for normal driving, middle lane for overtaking.

the Mortorhome driver can use the middle lane for overtaking ONLY where there is a broken white line on his side, AND there is no oncoming traffic using it.

1. 60mph for sure.

2. In the situation shown the middle lane can be used by vehicles from each direction but nobody has priority over the other.

Now that could be fun.....

Pull out to overtake and find a stationary car turning right.

You may not have noticed the unbroken white line forbidding this move.

"has three lanes and the road markings or signs do not give priority to traffic in either direction" .. that is correct..

wrong..

in your video clip there are road markings giving priority ..
See the Highway Code rule stated.
Both lanes have broken lines allowing use of the Middle lane, so you are wrong by your own argument
