Well ...at last..... Max is back on the road!!!!!
After all the problems I had, mainly due to the rats, I went to pick it up at the garage yesterday evening.
The mechanic has done quite a few things. Changed battery , repaired the starting problem I had (key turning and going .... silent!), repaired the power steering damaged by some chewing, repaired the whole driver door (window mechanism, door opening handle, and lock door problem). Changed the whole mechanism of washing liquid for windscreen. The reservoir was dreadfully leaking (having a huge weewee each I was trying to fill it up if you see what I mean!). Hoses were chewed and pump wasn't working anymore...He has done a few other things he said nothing about to the boss , so I didn't have to pay!
So yesterday I came back home very happy, and parked it .... AWAY from my house, as I just don't want to take any risk, and park it on the army parking place , facing the Gendarmerie.
This morning , I went back to the parking place ... and was told off by a soldier! Miss , we are under orange/red alert with terrorism and you can't park there. We were starting to wonder what to do about your motorhome! Boohoo !
So now, Max is parked in the middle of the parking place hoping the wild cats will care it, and be good chasers! I wish Rory , Maeve, Victor and Jack (Howie and Kath's dogs) were there to give the proper smell to its wheels! ....
Anyway , tomorrow will look for another quiet place away from here to park Maxy!
Meanwhile, I will just savour HIS coming back home safe and sound, just before Christmas!
