New People from Polperro in S.E Cornwall. (1 Viewer)

Hello All,

My name is John and my wife is Denise, we live just above the small fishing village of Polperro in S.E Cornwall. I have just retired from Lorry driving back in August. Denise has been retired for a few years now from the "pub trade"

Although we have been "motorhoming" since about 2005 our 1997 Swift Sundance that we bought last year is our first real go at it. We know we have a lot to learn, and are looking forward to peoples input when I know we will need to "ask" on the Forums.

We are both licenced radio amateurs myself holding the call sign G1YDQ and Denise 2E0PDQ. I have made a few "mods" to our van so that we can take advantage of our other hobby.

My thought as well. Visited Polperro for the first time last month; but we've only been living in Devon for 11 years, so these things take time.

The horse bus went a couple of years ago Paul. Just the converted milk float thingies now. We don't go down the village much, tis £4:00 to park if your there for 4 minutes or 4 hours. On top of that we are 400 feet above sea level, it's alright going down, back ups a bit much as ti uphill all the way.
