Looks like we are in for a very wet winter this year.
Shame , but it won't stop us getting out and about. Those waterproof jackets and trousers we bought , and never used, for our outer hebredise trip, will come in handy.
No such thing as bad weather, just wrong clothing ! We shall be using our favourite Camping spots with the hard standing so as not to get stuck in the mud.
Glad we don't live on a flood plane though , or near a flooding river. It must Be a real worry.

We've just had a long weekend in North Devon, it has rained heavily every night but the sun shone every day.

No doubt there will be flooding in Somerset again. Nothing new, the name means 'land of the summer people', because it has always flooded in the winter so nobody lived there in the winter.

Every year the Mail come out with the same old weather stories, they admitted that they did it because it increased sales. If the met office can't predict the weather a few weeks ahead, nobody can.

By meteorologists own admission they cannot accurately predict weather much past 18 hours..
Hell, they even got TODAYS weather wrong that they predicted on Saturday !!

They couldn't forecast Christmas Day never mind months ahead!

Last night they forecast a dry day in prospect and this morning they're predicting showers.

Where we live there's a road called Water Lane and they wondered why when it poured down they got flooded out. Suspect name might have given them a clue it was going to happen AND the small river running past their properties

First year under our belt!
Having just got back from a couple of days away I'd love to see a new category added to ukcampsite: "Good for dogs in winter"!
Gravelly, gritty, rutted, muddy paths with big puddles everywhere does not equal "plenty of places to go for long walks". Every time we took the hairies out we had to spend ages cleaning them up again, whereas at some sites there's oodles of good concrete paths nearby.

And we had to clean the dogs as well!
