Living the dream.
We have had four nights away in our Wentworth now and each morning the inside of the windscreen has been full of condensation and I am wondering about thermal screens. Do they work better external or internal please?

Do a search on silver Screens, Taylor made, or Polar... These are all external.. And certainly silver Screens and Taylor made are very similar.. They are designed to go on the outside and work very well..

We have the internal screens and still get condensation even with the vent slightly open ,in this weather .summer no probs .
Others will favour external type I think its just down to personal choice :)

In our experience external do a good job, when in the Alps, high Pyrenees or Northern Scandinavia we use both internal and external, bit bulky but lightweight and does the business. Also useful when in the other extreme. Externals reflect the suns rays and help keep the van cool.......(er). (y)

External screens - a 'must have' accessory in my opinion. As others have said, it's the only way to prevent (or severely minimise) condensation in very cold weather and very valuable in blazing sun if the temperature gets up around 30ºC or more.
Silverscreens or Taylormade are well regarded; I have Silverscreens.

We have both as the MH came with internal screens but we found as others have you get condensation. However, if you crack the driver's and passenger's side windows open about a quarter of an inch we get a lot less. The external screen is the answer but sometimes it is too much trouble to get out and put away for a single night somewhere so we use the internals but open the windows a bit.

External unless you are doing some naughty wild/free camping/freeloading!!!!

In that case, internal blinds are easily removed to escape the a-frame wielding, Romanian gassing gang outside who are eyeing up your £2000 of cash and valuables!

I have had both and prefer the external. They are great re condensation but against that you have to consider the storage and the possibility of packing away wet and dirty.

How did you know we always carry the exact maximum amount of cash we can insure? Oh and jewellery of course. :sneaky:

Tried both internal (which came with MH when we bought her) which always produced lots of condensation, and then bought Silverscreens external on recommendation of a friend. They work brilliantly, no more condensation! Highly recommended.

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
We use internal blinds & yes we get condensation but in western Scotland the midges can be a nightmare so not having to hang about outside is preferable.
