If you mean fridge vent covers our handbook says they should be used when washing the MH, when MH is in storage and when temperature is below 10 deg c

Fridge vent covers. Put them on when I travel to keep the draft down. Also leave them on if the temp drops, as they still vent ok :)

They are also useful when cleaning the MH, especially if you plan to use a power hose.

I'm confused...... (easily done).

Trying to buy winter vent covers for our Thetford N150 Fridge/Freezer. I have found two different types - which is best?

Put them on when I travel to keep the draft down

Do you mean a draft inside the m/h?

If so this should not happen as the rear of your fridge should be totally sealed from the m/h interior or there is a likelihood of carbon monoxide (CO) filtering back inside when running on gas.

Fridge vent covers. Put them on when I travel to keep the draft down. Also leave them on if the temp drops, as they still vent ok :)

As mentioned above, your fridge should be totally room-sealed.
Many moron manufacturers don't achieve this during installation and risk making their victims, sorry customers, carbon monoxide death statistics!

They are also useful when cleaning the MH, especially if you plan to use a power hose.

Not recommended as it can give a false impression that its ok to let the pressure washer go over them, when they don't seal at all. Best method for cleaning is to give the vents a wide berth and clean round them by hand. As part of my valets I always remove vents, clean OFF the van and clean surrounds by hand.
