animated gifs (1 Viewer)

can anyone tell me how to get animated gifs to work as an avator.

i can download the gif but not the animation.......driving me nuts!!!!!:Sad:

also, how do you turn on HTML code if allowed.

Normally when you copy off the web you just copy one the top slice of the animation. You need to copy the whole file.

Copy the image location, with firefox, just right-click the image and choose copy image location or if you use IE (why?) right click, choose properties, then remember the location, or highlight it and then copy with ctrl C :RollEyes:

Then use this path to open the file in your graphic editor or open it and copy it to a file location on your hard-drive.

I got mine from my friends web site Heathers Animations and American Dream sorted it for me, he said you need all the frames for an animation to move. I'm sure he will help you. :thumb:

I may be wrong but I think you need to use the host url of the gif rather than uploading from your PC ...

im taking the gif from Smiley central on my websearch bar (screen shot Link Removed ) and it doesnt give the URL

got it from the saved location in my computer but on upload it says 'file upload failed'.:cry:
