Morning
I have all the tickboxes ticked in the 'alert preferences' section but am not always aware when someone has replied to a thread I've started (and I sometimes forget to check:oops: especially if it's a few days afterwards and I don't always spot things in the 'recent' list).

I've also seen it mentioned by several others that it's annoying that a poster hasn't got back to them when they've gone to the effort of replying to a post so I don't think it's just me.

Is there a way of doing this or does it rely on the person replying to quote/tag the op? Iyswim?

Cheers
Deb

since 2007, 25 years tuggin before that.
At the top right of the thread is "watch thread", click this & when someone posts on it a red tag appears on your "alerts".

quite a few years now, and loving every minute..
could be useful too as so many of us have 'recent posts' as the homepage, to have a longer 'timeframe' on them than the current couple of days that it is now, if we're away travelling or out of reach of internet access for whatever reason, so that we can catch up on the many threads of what's been going on whilst we've been away..

maybe a weeks worth of recent posts could be helpful or maybe the facility for members to choose their own length of time maybe?

just a thought..

Thanks for the replies guys - think I'll have to get in the habit of putting the thread on the watch list - it's a case of remembering to do it:wasntme::smiley:

@calion I had to remove the email alert - I don't often look at my email, too much of a reminder of being at work:Eeek:, important stuff gets sent to the oh's (kind of me I know:whistle2:)

Yep, I know Jim has explained lots of times how the recent list works but I seem to be missing spotting some threads, not grasped it at all.

As an aside, I reckon I posted on 1 yesterday which then showed later as being posted the previous day (including all the posters after me) still not sure If I dreamt that one::bigsmile:)

A quick way to look at all your posts and their responses is to click or hover over your name in the blue menu bar (top right) then scroll down about half way down in the right column is an item marked 'your content' Click on that for a list of all your stuff (y)

Cheers Jim, is there a way of splitting it between threads I've started and threads I contributed to, or is that a step too far?

Like the poppy btw:notworthy2:
