Please can someone tell me if this will work. I just went outside to move the MH and the engine battery is flat. I don't have the wee tool to take the drivers seat off where the battery is so cant connect a battery charger so Im wondering if I just plug in my EHU will the starter battery charge itself up in a few days? Thankyou

Only if the charger system is configured to charge both hab and cab batteries.

Is there a remote battery jumper post under the bonnet ?
usually nothing more than a steel post same as on battery with a red plastic cover.

On mine the starter battery is supplied with a 'trickle voltage' so if yours does then a couple of days might do it......worth a try?

Erm I haven't done any checks. I thought I would leave that to the garage to do when the MH goes for a service. Photo of engine coming in a minute and hopefully I can be told where to put my battery charger connections.

A solution will come along............... but why did it go flat in the first place?? I have noticed that the alarm on my van uses quite a lot of power over 10 to 12 days and then I have to charge (via EHU etc):(

I believe it can go anywhere else on the body as van is negative earth? Need confirmation from someone else (or RTFM of course;))

If your system doesn't charge the vehicle battery this site might be of help:

http://www.motts.org/BRIDGING FUSE.htm

The arrangement can be made as a temporary one by connecting to the batteries by crocodile clips.
The same arrangement got me out of a similar fix on my Ford a few years back. I fitted a Battery Master as a longer term fix.

Good luck
