They don't always modify exhausts, have you checked if its standard Ducato or not:thumb:

I went for a vortex exhaust systen. Full stainless steel plus extra silencer to make it quieter. The silencers are performance versions and the vortex unit is supposed to give better performance and economy. I get around 10% better economy and change down from 5th gear less.

Bare in mind it is a fully tig welded system custom built for the van, not an off the peg stainless steel system.

If you search the forum I did a thread about it, I am extremly satisfied with tje system. The system is not cheap but if you are planning keeping your van a few years it is well worth considering.

You would need to contact vortex. I have no connection with them I'm just a customer who is seriously impressed.
A lot of people think just because an exhaust system is sold as stainless steel it is good. There are a lot of rubbish stainless steel systems about.

True but £90 for a few years is to me better than £900

Not if it drops off while your in France. I also save £10 per tank and the cab is quieter, the drive is vastly improved making driving a lot more comfortable.
If you keep your van long enough the system pays for it self.
Money well spent.

Ive just worked out my savings since I had the system fitted by the mileage Ive driven and I have saved approximately £500.00 Although I my main reason for fitting the exhaust wasnt to save on the fuel its good to look back and see how much Ive saved. I used to struggle to do certain return trips on a tank of diesel but can get home without refilling.

You've obviously never tried to get a spare part in France. The Spanish are bad enough but the french take poor service to a new level.
Besides that I would rather spend my holidays relaxing rather than searching for a garage and alll the hassle involved.
Especially when you always happen to have things like this happen on a national holiday day.

The corrosion is always inside a welded joint and looks fine until you put a bit of pressure on it. So give it a good shake at each joint and you may get a surprise.

I would be very cautious about buying cheapo imported exhausts off eBay. There's usually a reason why there cheap.
