Meet Basil, Barry or the Bazmobile (name not yet finalised). We pick him up on Sunday. One of my first jobs is to get the sticker off the bonnet. Does anyone have any experience of doing this? It's a proper sticker not a vinyl.

Gently!! heat with a Heat gun the sort they burn paint off with.
On the low setting, use a sharp knife/scrapper/w h y ! slowly loosen the end then using the heat, slowly peel off!

Remember!!! Slowly slowly catchee monkey!

Those trophy stickers on the front above the windscreen (Kangaroo, Deer or Bull (?) Horses and Riders) - did the former owner shoot them or run them over?

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
I was always told a hairdryer on high did a good job. Got to be worth a try before a paint stripper heat gun !

Anyway, what does the sticker say, I can't make it out ?

I'd agree with the heat gun on a low setting but then use thumb nail or a plastic scraper, rather than a metal knife, to avoid paint damage.

many many years! since I was a kid
warm air is your friend, then teecut the whole bonnet or the shadow will always be there

do it carefully and slowly though, as its easy to rip the top surface of paint off if its ever been repainted. use a sharpened credit card

Hair dryer will do it. Be very careful if you use anything metal to help it along. Finger nail or plastic is safer.

Looking at some of the dents I'm guessing run over

Yep, what everyone else said about the sticker.

On the other matter, my vote's for the Bazmobile.
