If you mean the region as opposed to the departement:

Avignon is worth a visit - Camping Bagatelle by the Pont Eduard Daladier worked for us. There's another site nearby. The aire looked rubbish.

Aigues Mortes (despite its name) is a lovely old walled town in the Camargue with two aires - the one by the marina is probably the quieter of the two.

Arles has no aire that I know of but is worth a bus or train ride in from somewhere else, or a day visit.

Saintes-Maries-da-la-Mere is interesting if you want a base to cycle across the salt marshes but I didn't personally rate it as a destination in itself. If you go in September you might want to think about whether or not you arrive during the Gypsy festival, as the town is a shrine for travelling folk. You can also walk on the tiled part of the church roof there, if that's what floats your boat.

Take a look at the "villages perches" in the Vaucluse and Luberon area. Rousillion, Bonnieux, Gordes, and Lacoste, ( and you thought it was a tee shirt) . They all have aires nearby. Get yourself over to the " gorges of Verdon" do the north and south rim, take your time, and stay on the aire at Moustiere st marie. Brilliant.
