Packed the awning and caravan stuff away in a hurry in the rain yesterday - have just been back to storage to bring the wet stuff back home.....and have noticed there's a strip of scuffs about 12" x 3" down the shower door:crying:, they're very light, you can't feel any scratches at all but it looks really mucky. I tried a microfibre cloth but there was no change.

We are hoping to px the caravan for a moho very soon ( next fews days all being well).

Had a peek in the garage and found some autoglym motorcycle cleaner, doesn't mention anything about removing scuffs though.

Has anyone had any joy getting scuffs out?

I'd try t cut it works on most surfaces and shouldn't scratch it

Obviously try a small area first just to see

Ok, I would imagine there's some of that in the garage as well - I try and stay out of there if I can. Son will be home off earlies shortly - I reckon he's got a stash of car cleaning gear in there somewhere.

I take it that t-cut is ok on plastic?

I've used it on plastic before and it Obviously does plastic bumpers etc on cars , it's designed to remove minor scratches and scuffs from paintwork so i reckon it's worth a shot .... but as I said just try a small area first

You could try metal polish it works on perspex which is an acrylic but I am not sure what shower doors are made from they are very brittle and quite thin so support the area well whist rubing - I expect they are some form of styrene
again try on a small area first

Toothpaste on a microfibre cloth would probably do it, brought the plastic headlights on the wife's Fusion back to a sparkle.

Always remember to do a small test area first whatever you use.

Good luck.

This or similar ..............

Think I'll try this 1st - seems least invasive

Toothpaste on a microfibre cloth .
then this
You could try metal polish

We have some of this

I'd try t cut it works on most surfaces and shouldn't scratch it

Obviously try a small area first just to see

I'll try the others 1st.

We'll have to call in on the way back from my Dad's tomorrow - at least we've got some things to try now thanks to everyone.

Reckon it was caused by a folding chair in it's cover leaning onto the shower when we were coming home - the marks aren't even in one direction, they're all over the place.

This is when storing the 'van away from home is a pain!

Never understood why people store things in the toilet/shower compartment it's always going to move ....I've viewed a few caravans in the past where I've just walked away because of damage to toilet walls etc from aqua rolls and awnings

That's the annoying thing - we never do normally, it was persisting it down heavily and we just dumped things in.

Lesson learned - no matter how wet stuff/we're getting - do it properly:(

Yep ta, just gathering all the stuff that's been suggested and we'll call in tomorrow.

You can't feel any scratches - it looks cloudy more than anything - and very visible.

Note to self: remember glasses!;) Always helps!

update:
Sponge thingy - no change, but it was a cheapie and didn't behave like the astonish ones I've had before so not sure it was a fair trial

Toothpaste - can't believe how this worked, it's removed 99% of the marks, all you can see is a slight shadow, if you know where to look

I didn't need to try anything else, I must admit that the t-cut scared me a bit but I think that was due a bad experience with a ford escort in my teens!

Wish we had the thanks button, thanks to everyone who helped - and wildman::bigsmile:

If there are deep scratches (not in this case it seems) try a touch up paint from somewhere like Halfords in as close a colour as you can find. It won't make it vanish but it will look better. You could use a filler first of course.
