Well I know it would be good, and good it was.

First the campsite. A nice simple field with 50 pitches, all 16A hook up. About half have hard standing. Nearly new toilet block. For your £25 fee you get to roam the lovely grounds. Just £2 to visit the house when it is open.

The fireworks. Well we go lucky. Being there all day we wandered over to see them setting up. Instead of " 'er, elf and asfety, p$ss off" we got "would you like a tour ?" and the guy in charge showed us round. Pulled charges out of tubes so we could feel the weight and a good explanation of everything. More wires than a telephone exchange. Brilliant.

The fireworks were as impressive as last time, a really good £15 worth.

Anyone looking for a break in Cheshire it's worth a couple of nights.

Wow. That looks terrific!!
Was that £25 per night Brian or did that include the firework display?
It's now on my "must visit" list (y)

£25 for the pitch.
£15 each for fireworks.

They are already talking about next year for the fireworks. We probably won't go, needs a bit more gap to appreciate it.

Would be a good FUN meet location but the tight gits of FUN will not pay that much.

I know the colonel Antrobus estate well from a miss spent youth. Some of the plumpest pheasants in Cheshire came from there. Happy days, long gone.

Did the plumpest pheasants result in the plumpest peasants Dave? :D
Sure did, and I have never managed to get the weight off since. Also even though I love fishing, I wouldnt thank you for a trout now. My childhood diet consisted of trout, pheasant and rabbit, I cant stomach any of it now.
