what on earth can be wrong with the three legged symbol

an athlete has had to tape over his on his vest??

no idea why, any ideas?

I have the same problem - often have to tape my third leg up too - stops it dragging along the floor:whistle:

Obviously they don't want the minority of people with 2 legs to feel inadequate. Probably a PC thing!

As far as I know it had something to do with showing too many LOGOS on there vests.

Apart from the Nuke bit I guess this might be as close to a serious answer as we get
(the nuke reference was a joke wasn't it) :notworthy:

Yes the Nuke was a joke,we would have to borrow one of the English.
Not absolutely sure but a Country was only allowed to display (1) symbol,icon,badge representing there Country,the Commonwealth powers that be,:banghead: obviously got confused with 3legs.

The Isle of Man Three Legs on the Flag, comes from a pagan symbol from the 13th century for power, sun & life, according to good old Google, I did work there for a few years but didn't know what they meant. Pete
ps no idea why they had to be covered up for the games, probably a jobs worth.

many many years! since I was a kid
i bought my mrs a pair of those pants with the extra leg hole. she wouldnt wear them, said they were too draughty:rofl:
