A long time now
Hi ,we have in the past used magnets on one side and sticky velcro on the other with weights along the bottom like in the shower curtains all hung from a small pole on a couple of cup hooks ,but they were a bit of a faff so now we have the chenille type ,looks like lambs tails and no tripping as you walk through much easier .

Got these ones fitted to my van. They do a brilliant job and can be wound up and moved to one side when not needed :)

Mine were fitted when I got her secondhand :)

Lots on Google, or use John Cross (as seen on the right of the screen). Probably be some form of discount for being a Funster :)

If you've bought the very fine black mesh I wouldn't try that-- think you'd be wasting your time.
I've been trying to make window fly screens for my house with it. It's too flimsy, the Velcro doesn't stay stuck. I've given up. If it's to keep flies out ( not to keep a pet in) I'd go with the ones described above. For a pet proof solution, I found on the motorhome I need a proper habitation door screen.
Just wish I had fly screen in my house....
