Hello

I hope someone can help me out in finding a nice simple awning for my Devon Carmargue. All I want is a sun shade similar those done by Fiamma. However as i already have a 'c' shaped channel attached the side of the van i need something to slide into the channel. The guys at Devon told me when i bought the van that what I needed was an awning in a bag that would slide into the channel when needed.. I looked around at the pickering show but all I saw was one by caravanstore attached to a East Neuke conversion.

Does anybody know where i can find such an awning? What are the costs?. Are they hard to find because they don't work very well?

hi dave,

fiamma and omnistore both have a vast number of mounting options for their roll out awnings.
they WILL have one to fit your van.
the awnings dont come cheap though. starting price is around £230 for an omnistore 1.9 mtr long awning + fittings for your van and £280 +fittings from fiamma.

have a look here >>click<< for omnistor

and here >>click<< for fiamma

scroll pages for types and prices.

the only ones i know that slide in are by caravanstore and are quite effective and can be left in situ when travelling but they do need guyropes which can be a pain in the neck.

hope this helps.
john.

This is simple and cheap

The EASI-CANOPI is a simple windbreak and canopy
that can be put up and taken down in a matter of minutes.
Simply place the two steel poles into the eyelets,
either side of the 240cm wide canopy and then guy it out.
The EASI-CANOPI is fully waterproof and UV protected
and gives excellent protection against light showers or hot weather,
without obscuring your view.
Weighs 3.6kg

£59-95 on our website

Hi Dave,

The leading edge slides into the C rail you said you had fitted, hence the suggestion.
If you ring Darren or Jan they can explain it further.

Regards

Peter
