not long enough
We have a 10 day window early in August, love getting up to Scotland, provided the midge count is not too high we are going to do the lower islands

Over the Arran, then Islay via Kintyre, possibly a night or 2 on Jura, but that last bit would add £86.20 for 2 x 5 minute crossings:Eeek:

Might just park on Islay and look at Jura

Ferry package from Ardrossan - Arran - Kintyre - Islay then back £226

I know I could get to France and back for less, but the views are truly amazing, beaches like something from the Indian Ocean without tourists

I will take plenty of photos and keep you all up to date with plans

Anybody else done the same trip?

This is why I bought the MH

A Woosh bang
I've done the Ardrossan- Arran - Kintyre ferries on the way to Skye, with a few few days on Arran at my eldest son's who used to live at Lochranza .. big white house on the left just past the distillery..

Many years ago when I lived at West Kilbride I did a cycling and camping holiday on Arran.. It's a great Island and worthy of a couple of days.. there are plenty of wild spots on the west coast road, opposite Kintyre

I made a Google map of Arran for another funster .. https://www.google.com/maps/ms?msid=207590977793691629247.000499496962e0aa93a16&msa=0

Enjoy your trip.. I am very envious..
