Portsmouth overnight parking. (1 Viewer)

Is it possible to park overnight on the docks at Portsmouth. If not is there overnight parking very close as we are sailing at 0830. BUSBY

Yes.....

But dont get there before the last ferry has left...

Few months ago, I phoned them and they said about 10pm... :thumb:

When I left Portsmouth last year we just rocked up to the parking area about 6 and parked up. You can get a meal from terminal if you need to. Plenty of motorhomes and caravans waiting for the next days ferrys. Colin

When we sailed in December we stopped a while at Port Solent Marina and then drove to the terminal around 10pm.

Last year we got there early and was asked to come back after 11 o'clock so went and parked up on the sea front for a couple of hours, when we returned just after 11 there were several vans in line , so they let them in earlier than what they told me . Pere :thumb:

We arrived in Jan about 4pm BEFORE the last BF ferry had departed. A BF person told us we were too early but said we could stay.

Can anyone advise where to Park in Portsmouth if arriving back in UK off the ferry at 9.30pm please? We want somewhere that will allow us in around 10pm or somewhere safe to park. It will be weds night in Sept and we will travel to Shepton mallet show the next day.

Portsdown Hill just near the pub (Churchillian) is a good overnight stop. Know many Isle of Wight people use it on way off Island

We met you and your good Lady at Almafra, we were the one's with the bikes and Jake the Dog who has made a full recovery.
What are your plans.
We are booked to sail 22nd Oct. but have not finalised plans yet but thinking about Morroco.

Hi you two, sorry just noticed your thread. Hope you are ok. Down in Andalucia touring inland for last couple of weeks. Had a small breakdown but ok now we hope. Leaving tomorrow for Isla Plana and then slow plod back through France. Ferry booked 3 oct portsmouth Santander but dont know where we are heading. Hope we bump into you again.BUSBY
