was thinking about installing a 80 watt solar panel to the roof of my van, what else will I need for it to work other than the panel itself?

Thanks, Dave

at least 4mmsq cable, a quality solar controller/regulator and a waterproof junction box for the wiring where it enters the van.

Cable, solar regulator, sealant, fixings to mount to roof.

Make sure you have adequate batteries to store the power. I also recommend a Battery Master to transfer excess charge to the engine battery when leisure one is charged, useful if you leave the vehicle parked up especially if you have an alarm fitted.
