My Auto Trail wind out awning is a bit manky after the winter...and tips on cleaning it ?

The actual material has spot of mould etc as no doubt rain has got in over the winter months.
The mechanism is fine.

thanks

My proven method..

bucket of warm water, a generous squirt of Fairy, + 1 cup of cheap thin bleach.

Scrub blind on BOTH sides with a soft broom or car wash brush (yes you will get wet) , roll it up still wet and soapy.. and leave for about 30 mins..

Unroll and hose off.. leave to dry..

a sparkling clean awning

After a near miss at Sandy this weekend when it survived a collapse overnight, I decided when we arrived home and the awning was still wet to try Jim's method.

With the exception of one or two stubborn marks it now looks like a new awning.

Thanks Jim.
