Now officially motorhomers (1 Viewer)

We picked up our 2006 Autocruise tonight so we can now call ourselves Motorhomers. Reading through the literature that came with the van only goes to show up what we don't know. We now will spend the weekend cleaning (to our standard), testing bits and learning what all the knobs and switches do.

We had not intended getting a MH for a couple of years when we will retire but we have the chance to go part time and that will free up some time so we can get away more often. No point in having a MH and using it twice a year. Now all the uncertainties like will it fit on the drive have been answered. They have made way for other uncertainties like how does the alarm function? All good fun.
We plan a few weekends away over the summer then a week or two touring France in September all being well.

Sure you will have many adventures ahead, I am winding down at work and Anne took ill health retirement almost 3 years ago now. MH is always loads with enough for a long weekend if nothing else, finish 3pm on a Friday then we are off !!! And sometimes take Monday off also.
Lots to learn on your travels but the main thing as far as we are concerned is to use your MH as often as you can

wellcome to fun you should try to come alomg to one of the motorhome shows and meet some other funsters thing we every didwe were new to this a few years ago and going to a meet was the best thing we ever did

Lucky bu***rs!

We ordered ours at the notorhome and caravan show in Birmingham last October. After several delays, we should be picking it up this coming Thursday. Looking forward to it much more than any car or caravan i have bought.
