I want to add a gas outlet to run a cadak from don't want to drill bodywork but looking in the gas locker can I take a feed direct from the truma auto change over valve. It has a capping nut on the outlet(probably for test gear to connect to) with that removed could I connect into that?

I think the connection on the Truma valve is, as you say, for a pressure test unit. I would have thought this is not something to connect an offtake into. Should be easy to fit a take-off point but you will need to do a bit of cutting into the existing gas pipe. I had a Bullfinch point fitted but wanted it mounted through the van wall. The feed for that came from the pipe feeding the Truma heater under the wardrobe.

We had one fitted into our locker instead of cutting a hole in the outside. Only used it twice so far but worked well!! The pipe into the van was cut and a joint added in with the point on!

I replaced all the pipework myself as the professional made a right crock of it all (under previous owner)

thanks for photo my van is very similar gives me an idea probably get to gas pipe inside fridge vent:thumb::thumb:

Never thought of that one:Doh:
Just tee off the fridge supply and when you want to use it remove the fridge vent.

On second thoughts a hole in the skirt is probably the best way to go.

Or maybe the easiest is just drag the spare calor bottle out of the locker.

7 years campers before that
as an alternative to the bulfinch you could tee in to a suitable gas pipe and mount one of these Broken Link Removed somewhere
