Looking to source a RHS long wing mirror body for a Ducato (2013) but can only find bodies for short arm versions or the full unit. I had to replace the glass immediately when it was broken and as such I now only need the body cover as all the rest works.

Anyone have any pointers ? (not dogs)

Wingmirrorman may be able to sort you out possibly.

Is there enough of the broken mirror to take mirror guard protectors?
www.mirrorguard.co.uk/

This is a good suggestion. I collected the remains of it and it's held together with duct tape, would the mirror cover still fit over that ? also the arm covers broke although I found bits of them, again they are taped up. Do these shiny wing mirror covers also come with new arm covers ?

Not sure if Mirror guards would help, however you may as well get some as you will need them if you have to buy a new mirror. I fitted mirrorguards 2 years ago, they have survived some serious clouts.

Spoke to MirrorGuard and they confirmed that the arm covers are like rocking horse do da. Ordered up some white covers and will reconstruct my old cover and then add the MirrorGuard on top. I will repair the arms as best I can, maybe get some printed:winky:

Another benefit of these covers for me is that they are gloss finish = easier to clean flies off:thumb:

There are 3 different arm lengths, long medium and short, those fitted to my 2009 Bessacarr Ducato are the medium type, I have repaired / rebuilt the nearside cover after a serious knock and fitted the mirror guard which works well, however I cannot find the arm plastic covers anywhere:Sad: Good luck hope your search is more fruitful than mine.:thumb:

OK with some MirrorGuards and some black cloth tape it looks quite OK.

The MirrorGuards certainly worked well and I had to reconstruct the arm covers with the cloth tape which I used as it's a matt finish vs the usual gaffe tape that doesn't look as realistic.

I'm sure you can see which side it is also it's not that obvious unless close up

Do not rely on Mirrorguard to protect your mirrors. Their advertising is a lie and I have a smashed mirror to prove it. I am about to take legal action against a supplier.

Mine is already broken so it could be broken any more in reality.

For me this is a good solution to fit them over broken mirror bodies vs having to buy a new unit even if the units can be sourced for £120ish in the UK.
