Donations Questions and Answers
Motorhomefun will always be a subscription free zone, but unfortunately hosting the site requires us to continually find funds for the ongoing costs.
Where does the money that I donate go
Any money donated to the MotorhomeFun helps pay for the bandwidth and hosting expenses generated by the forums and the other facilities the website offers. Similarly any profit made from sticker & pennant sales is used the same way. As the forum grows and becomes more popular, so will the bandwidth and server storage costs.
By helping the MotorhomeFun with a donation, however small it might be, you are helping to ensure that the Forum will stay around, offering, among many other things, fun information and support to our members.
Is this a membership fee or subscription?
No. Membership to MotorhomeFun is completely free, and is open to all. The decision to donate is entirely up to you. If the forum has helped you or you feel you're getting something good out of it, then why not help with the costs if you can? If you would rather not that’s fine. If you do not think that what you gain from the forum is worth a contribution, that's fine as well. Its completely up to you.
How do I make a donation?
Click on the Donate button in the toolbar above. You can submit your donation via PayPal, either from your own PayPal account or using your credit card. I know some people do not like PayPal. You do not have to be a PayPal member to donate. However if you would like to donate in another way, by cheque for example, then please contact me via PM
Do I get anything in Return?
Well, you get the satisfaction of knowing that your donation to the community makes a difference and helps keep the site up and running. Also your profile on the site will show that you have donated. Donors will also benefit from larger Avatars and signatures and a freeMotorhomeFun pop3 email address such Username@motorhomefun.co.uk.
I do hope that you enjoy the time that you spend with us here. Thanks for your support and whether you donate or not, please do enjoy the fun.
