Good news today! ADAC paperwork arrived for the Carnet de Passage, our trip around North Africa and the Middle East in 2006 required a 15,000 Euros deposit for the carnet because we were going through Egypt. This trip to Singapore and Australia is much easy as the Carnet only needs 2,500 Euros deposit. OK so you get the money back but you have to find it first so the lower level makes life a lot easier this year.

In 2008 we start a round the world trip in our Motorhome, a Rapido 972M first registered in 2002, which has already done 115,000kms or about 73,000m. The first part of the journey sees us drive from our home in France to Singapore, via Belgium, Holland, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia, Mongolia (including putting our baby on a flat bed train to cross the Gobi desert), China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaya and finally Singapore! That should take about 6 months and 23,000kms.
