our talbot has to small butane bottles under the seat one connected and a spare how do you know when one is about to run out is the a gauge we could use i ask after loosing a fridge full of food when it run out

Hi there is no accurate way other than weighing. You could get an auto change over device. There are pressure devices available but the presure will only drop when it is almost empty so if you dont keep a regular eye on the guage you will still run out.

Gas bottles know when its raining, they always used to choose to run empty when it was peeing down.

There are a few gauges that you can buy, but they rarely work with any degree of accuracy, ForestBoy here has a see through calor bottle and its easy to see when its empty, its really light too, so that is a bonus.
