Default 14" crt tv versus 15" tft tv.

What uses more power ? Or last the longest ?

A/ 14" crt tv ( old style )

or;

B/ 15" tft monitor ( slim style )

I will also be using a normal small type freeview box, with a normal motorhome type directional aerial.

I will be using it through a 600watt inverter from a single 85ah battery.
( Until i buy the second battery and a 1kw genny for backup purposes only of course )

You can get 12 volt freeview boxes (I was never very lucky with Freeview away though)

Are not most TFT screen 12 volt anyway so should use less power, am I wrong?

CRT tv around 80w

LCD tv around 35w +much better quality picture AND it should last longer.
for a few quid more i'd go for a lcd tv with freeview built-in. less hastle and less wires.

john.
