We use a De Longhi 320, the best thing is that it is a combined function appliance. It can dehumidify and also be used as a heater, both at the same time if required which makes it suitable for drying clothes. We bought it many years ago from Argos.

Thank you all for your differing ideas on how best to look after the "van".
I never thought about the charger being on 24/7, (need to remember that), maybe if I just buy a small convector heater and leave that on to keep the chill off that should take care of things.
Re: Keeping out snow and such. The vents have blanks fitted for cold weather use so that should take care of that.
As you say, I think the best thing is to use at least once a week even if it is only a short journey of 50 miles or so. Thanks to you all again for your tips.
