Jill bought me a Tom Tom at Christmas 2 years ago. In general it is OK but you have to be careful, especially in a motorhome, that it doesn't take you down narrow roads - I normally check against a road atlas for minor roads.
The original mount isn't all that good for use on the windscreen (we have had it fall off) but OK in the van as per attached photo. I bought an alternative mount kit and use a swan neck fitting in the Berlingo.
One disappointment is the out of date state of the maps. The A1 re-alignment rounf Ferrybridge had opened before the unit was purchased but not reflected in the maps. I bought a map upgrade last year and it is still not right. I haven't purchased the latest map upgrade because, at the price, I'm not sure of the value.
Next unit I buy will need to be one where you can set it for large vehicle to avoid narrow roads.
